College representatives will be at Shoreline’s campus to meet with interested students. Reps will discuss topics such as academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures for their college. They can answer other questions students may have too!

Mon., Jan. 30: 1:30-2:30 p.m.
University admissions representatives will be on hand to offer you one-on-one assistance with your college applications. Learn which classes you need to transfer to their specific university, see if you are on track and get application help right during the heart of application season! Take advantage of this opportunity to receive help from the people who may be deciding on your admission to their institution. Please bring your unofficial transcripts (or have access to them digitally) as well as any application information you have completed already.

International Student Transfer Fair, PUB Main Dining Room & 9208
Mon., Jan. 30: 2-4 p.m.
Come talk with representatives from over 95 universities from all over the U.S.! This is a great opportunity to learn about transfer opportunities or connect with universities you are interested in. The university representatives who participate usually work mostly with international students, but all students are welcome and invited to attend. This event may impact campus parking after 12:30 p.m.

This is the third in a workshop series is for post-baccalaureate students preparing for graduate health professional schools, such as dentistry, medicine, pharmacy and other. Today’s workshop helps students know how to prepare and take giant exams, such as the MCAT, DAT, and professional board exams.
GAC Presents: Germany’s perspective on the United States: Challenges and Prospects, PUB 9208
Thurs., Feb. 3: 7-8:30 p.m.
Dr. Frank Wendler: DAAD Visiting Professor, Department of Political Science and the Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington.
While the United States continues to be a key political partner and ally in Europe, new challenges have arisen recently, including:
• The future economic, political and military partnership between Europe and the U.S.
• The rise of populist politics and anti-immigrant rhetoric in both the U.S. and Europe
Dr. Wendler, who recently published a book about European regional politics and political polarization, argues that recent developments, including the rise of populism in both the U.S. and in Europe, reflect long-standing challenges since the end of the Cold War rather than entirely new ones.

Dear Student,
As you may have heard, President Trump has issued an Executive Order banning certain nationalities from entering the United States. The college is advising international students not to travel outside the United States, including trips to Canada.
International students who have questions should contact the International Education office in Building 9000, room 9302.
If you are experiencing any emotions that are unsettling or concerning, there are counselors available to support you. The Counseling Center is located in Building 5000, room 5245.

Please join in an important health survey that represents a partnership with Shoreline Community College and the University of Washington. Participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win $250. Want to help impact health and wellness issues on our campus? Please consider participating!
The first step toward being included is to complete a short online survey. If you complete this survey, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win $250.
If eligible for the larger study, you may be asked to complete 3 additional online surveys. You will be paid $30 for the first survey, $35 for the 2nd survey, and $40 for the 3rd survey.
You may also be selected to receive text messages and personalized information and complete a short survey giving us your opinions about the information provided. You will receive $10 for this survey.

It’s the annual Sayonara sale! The students in the TJHC program are returning home to Japan soon and need to lighten their loads. Come get a great bargain on clothing, electronics, sports equipment, and other household items in this annual garage sale sponsored by the Japanese students in the TJHC program at Shoreline. Come early for a great selection, come late for the great prices! The sale is being held in the PUB Quiet Dining Room (9208). Doors open at 9:30 a.m. on Thurs., Jan. 26, and the sale goes until 1:30 p.m.
