Students invited to an activity session and presentation for Anthropology of Social and Cultural Change class, Fri., March 4

On Fri., March 4 from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. swing by the PUB Quiet Dining Room to check out an activity session and presentation by students in the Anthropology of Social and Cultural Change class.

The activity session runs from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. and focuses on treating mental health and is geared toward college students. Students and staff are invited to come participate in artistic activities and learn about the benefits of using art therapy to combat mental health issues.

The presentation focuses on humanizing people who are homeless or on the poverty line. Students will display and share the stories from some homeless people who were interviewed for the project, and will also share facts vs myths about homelessness to raise awareness. The homelessness project will be on display from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

There will be snacks, and all students and staff are welcome. There will be also be a donation box set up inside the room that benefits the people interviewed for the project. Please consider donating any items such as clothes, sleeping bags, grooming utensils, and food.
