Shoreline films are getting a lot of play at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) this year with SCC’s first-ever entirely student-driven production making its debut in the festival as well as a feature-length film co-produced by two SCC faculty.

REFRACTION” is a sci-fi short that was produced by Kris Boustedt’s Production II class and made its premiere at SIFF this past Sunday. Read more about this student-driven film here.

The Hollow One” is a horror thriller co-produced by Film Department Chair Tony Doupé and SCC Associate Faculty Lorraine Montez. Doupé also stars in the film, which premieres at SIFF on Wed., May 27 at 9:00 p.m. and Thurs., May 28 at 3:30 p.m. at SIFF Cinema Uptown Theater. Tickets can be purchased through the SIFF Box Office. Read more about that project here.

In addition, 10 of SCC’s current and former students worked on the following SIFF films:

VALLEY OF THE SASQUATCH

EL CAMINO SOLO

And SCC Film and Video Faculty Kris Boustedt edited the video montage that played at the festival’s Opening Night Celebration.

Congrats to all!
