Chemistry student capstone project presentations, Room 2925

The campus community is invited to attend the capstone project presentations of Karen Kreutzer and Linda Kuehnert’s third-quarter general chemistry and third-
quarter organic chemistry classes. The presentations will be held in Room 2925 from 10:30-11:20 a.m. on Wed., June 1, Thurs., June 2, and Fri., June 3. Topics range from pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides to Food Irradiation, Antifreeze in Frogs and Fish, and Antibacterial Soap.

Our honors students will be making their final presentations on Wed., June 1 in the PUB Quiet Dining Room (9208) from 12:30-4 p.m. Please stop by and hear about their many interesting projects. Two of our students presented this year at the University of Washington Undergraduate Research Symposium and you can read about that here.

Got Graphic Design? Game Art and Design? Animation for Multimedia and Video? Enjoy light refreshments while perusing the incredible work that Visual Communications Technology students are producing at the third annual Shoreline Portfolio Show presented by the VCT Club. This fun event takes place at Melrose Market Studios, located on Seattle’s Capitol Hill at 1532 Minor Avenue, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 31 and June 1, from 5-9pm.

“Euthanasia comedy” seems an odd descriptor, but the latest from Swiss director Lionel Baier (Longwave, SIFF 2014) is a blackly humorous Christmas tale about one man’s absurd journey to die with dignity.
