Do you want to be part of a dynamic learning community while satisfying General Education course requirements?
This spring quarter, we’re excited to bring back Interdisciplinary Studies!
What is Interdisciplinary Studies? With Interdisciplinary Studies, two courses and two instructors come together in a single classroom to explore a common theme, allowing you to earn 10 credits and satisfy requirements in two subject areas.
What is the theme this spring? Asia Unmasked: Traditions, Revolutions, and Secrets.
We’ll explore the art, philosophy and revolutions of China, Korea, and Japan. Through historical documents, cinema, and fiction, we will examine multiple perspectives such as how Confucianism, Buddhism, and native religions were used to both enlighten and to rule over the common people.
How do I register? Visit the Asia Unmasked website. There you will find additional details as well as links to register for the classes. Not sure if these courses are suitable for your program of study? Please check with your advisor before registering.
