College representatives will be at Shoreline’s campus to meet with interested students. Reps will discuss topics such as academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures for their college. They can answer other questions students may have too!

Our Annual Talent Show is right around the corner! We encourage those with a variety of talents to audition. Whether that be stand up, a traditional cultural dance, poetry, or anything you’d consider to be your special talent. Auditions will run November 2-4 from 12-2 p.m. in the PUB Fishbowl (9203). Sign-up sheets will be up on the 3rd floor of the PUB (9000 building) at the front desk of the Student Life Center.

Unsure about your major or career?  Want to learn how to connect your strengths, interests, and values to major and career options?  If so, join Sheryl Copeland and Gwyn Hoffman-Robinson, SCC counselors, for an interactive workshop to learn more about the process of identifying your educational and career path. This workshop is open to all and no RSVP is needed.

Come prepared to sing a memorized song or aria. A pianist will be available to play for your audition. Please limit your audition to three minutes or less.

We are also looking for students who are interested in tech work to assist in the production. Students can get musical theater performance credits, drama credits, or stage technical credits. Auditions are open to the community, but everyone involved in the production must register for some type of Shoreline Community College course.

The Shoreline Community College Foundation’s Board of Directors would like to invite you to our 19th Annual Student Success Breakfast on Thurs., Nov. 3 from 7-8:30 a.m. This event helps students in need gain access to a quality education. Your donations help students stay in school with financial emergencies and also support scholarships to students with financial need. Your support helps to make sure all students have the opportunity to fulfill their educational goals.

GAC Presents: Reckoning with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, PUB 9208

Since the inauguration of President Rodrigo Duterte on June 30, the Philippines has received much attention in the media, unfortunately not all of it good. President Duterte’s domestic policy to date has focused on combating illegal drug trade by initiating a nationwide drug war that has already resulted in more than 2,000 murders. Now he says he is cutting off military relations with the U.S. and has welcomed new relations with China.
