One of our upcoming events is the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) Rally, scheduled for February 8th. This gathering will take place in the courtyard area on campus, serving as an awareness event to unite Native Americans and our allies. The purpose of the rally is to acknowledge those who have been victimized and raise awareness about systemic issues that contribute to the persistence of these tragedies.
During the MMIW Rally, we will have guest speakers who will share their thoughts and experiences, providing valuable insights into the challenges faced by Native Americans in the modern political climate and within the American educational system.
Your presence at this event would not only support our cause but also contribute to a more informed and compassionate community. We believe that by coming together, we can foster understanding and work towards addressing the issues that impact Native American students.
Feel free to stop by the Multicultural Center to chat about the community, share any ideas, or explore ways we can collaborate. Your involvement is highly valued, and we look forward to building a stronger, more supportive community together.
Date: Thursday 2/8/24
Time: 12:20-3:30pm
Location: Campus Courtyard
