This is a lecture style event where those interested in fantasy, science fiction, or genre fiction can learn about how racism is expressed through novels, movies, and other media which can influence our attitude and perception of others.
Eric Hamako is a tenured professor at Shoreline Community College, where he teaches courses about social justice in Multicultural Studies (MCS) and American Ethnic Studies (AES).
Current students are invited to get in touch with their inner Van Gogh and get artsy with A&E at this upcoming art workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 1-3pm in the PUB QDR (9208). Activities include mug painting, pre-drawn canvas painting, and chalk pastel art. All supplies provided, while they last!

What do you wish… for your family? For our community? For the world? The campus community is invited to share their wishes by writing them down and hanging them from one of the wishing trees that will be on campus from Mon. 11/4 to Thurs. 11/7. A tree will be located in the PUB lobby and wishes can be hung up from 12-2pm each day. Another tree will be located in either the FOSS or Library lobby and wishes can be hung up during business hours. Help us put some positive energy out into the universe and share your wish with us!

Join us for an afternoon of learning with political science faculty Heather Frolic as she answers questions about the process of the Electoral College, the constitutional process used to elect the President and Vice President of the United States.
Heather will also share the timeline for official certifications of the 2024 election results and provide resources for the tracking the process during the 2024 presidential election cycle.
