Crossing Borders Creative Writing Contest

The Ray W. Howard Library is hosting a Creative Writing Contest. The theme is Crossing Borders, and submissions will be accepted from Shoreline Community College students from November 12 through November 30. The short-story submissions should be between 800 – 2000 words, define the value of crossing borders (physically or metaphorically), use correct grammar and punctuation, and be the author’s own, original work.

The winner will have their story published in the college’s literary magazine, Spindrift, and will be announced in The Ebbtide. The first, second, and third place prizes are pretty exciting and we’re all quite jealous of the goodies our winners will receive. Entries may be submitted to Tferris@shoreline.edu with Crossing Borders in the subject line of the email. This contest is open to students only.
