Important Out-of-State Travel Quarantine Procedure

Dear Student,

As we usher in the winter holiday season, these are the times when we want to gather in person with friends and family. However, I want to reiterate the importance following the Governor’s directive to refrain from gathering in groups outside of those who are members of your household while COVID-19 rates continue to rise.

To keep our campus community as safe as possible, please note any Shoreline students or employees who travel out-of-state between December 1 – January 31 will be subject to a 14-day quarantine from campus.

This means if you are a student who is pre-authorized to come to campus for class and you travel outside-of-Washington in December or January, please plan to learn from home for 14 calendar days upon your return. You will also need to complete the Campus Access Form to acknowledge that you’ve travelled out of state. (Students who live in the residence hall and travel out of state will be asked to quarantine within their apartment.)

Unfortunately, COVID-19 transmission rates continue to increase in our local community and we must take these additional steps to ensure the safety of those who come to our physical campus. Thank you for doing your part to limit the spread of this virus.

Wishing you a great start to this time of gratitude.

With care,
Cheryl Roberts, Ed.D.
