Message about Constitution Day, Sept. 17

Dear Student,

On September 17, 1787, the 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention gathered to sign one of the United States’ most important founding documents. The U.S. Constitution is the oldest written national constitution still in effect.

This Constitution Day, I hope you will take a moment to not only reflect on the careful insight that went into crafting a document that would stand the test of time, but also to appreciate the endurance of the American freedoms that are inherent within it.
