During the high temperatures anticipated this week, please see the following guidance for staying safe.
HEAT SAFETY TIPS:
- Ensure proper hydration.
- Drink plenty of water, and don’t wait until you are thirsty to drink.
- Where possible, avoid drinks with caffeine/sugar which can increase dehydration.
- Take regular breaks in cooler areas.
- Visit cooler spaces on campus (PUB Bldg 9000, Library Bldg 4000, etc) for a break from the heat.
- Reduce incoming heat and circulate air where possible.
- Close the shades on windows receiving direct sunlight to reduce heat from entering.
- Consider the use of fans to move air within your work or living space.
