Shoreline Community College Theater presents “The Game’s Afoot” by Ken Ludwig. Directed by Bryar Golden, the show runs Dec. 2-11. Get your tickets today!
It is December 1936 and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Then it’s up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.

Subaru Rally Team & Automotive Programs Open House, PUB courtyard and 2100 bldg
Thurs., Dec. 1: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
In conjunction with the Subaru Rally Team, the automotive programs invite the campus community to our open house on Thurs., Dec. 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Take a break and take a walk! The Subaru Rally Team will display their rally car in the PUB courtyard. Check it out and then walk across our beautiful campus to the automotive building (2100). Program information and tours will be available.

Check out our quarterly pre-funk to finals week – BREATHE. This quarter BREATHE events begin Monday, November 28 (with Dr. Roberts and her therapy dog in the PUB Lobby) and wrap up on Friday, December 2 (with yoga in the gymnasium or swimming at a local pool), with our main event happening Thursday, December 1 (events across campus – and make sure you stop by the Counseling Center for free food, crafts, and more)!
Students often report high levels of stress before finals, which can negatively impact their academic performance as well as their physical and mental health. BREATHEaims to reduce student stress as well as connect students to their SCC community. These efforts assist our students with attaining their academic and personal goals.

In order to finish construction on the 4000 Building, the second and third floors (4200 & 4300) will be closed during Winter Break. Both floors will re-open on the first day of Winter 2017 classes, Mon., Jan. 9. The book drop box is available for anyone returning items to the Library.
The student computer lab in 4102 will be open for those seeking technology access. The complete break schedule for 4102 will be posted shortly.

Join Communication Studies students for the following end-of-the-quarter performances.
All performances will take place in the PUB on Wed., Nov. 30. See specific times and details below. ***Please note that you can stop by any one of the performances at any time. You will most likely want to stay for 5-10 minutes.
9:30-10:20 a.m. “Building a (Critical) Wall”: In this performance, students will build a critical “Wall” made up of facts, statistics, artwork, stories, etc., which demonstrate various standpoints on the President-elect’s proposed wall. This is an interactive performance, where audience members will be able to visually respond to the wall, test their immigration knowledge, and more! ***We will most likely keep the wall up for the rest of the day for viewing.
10:30-11:20 a.m. “Behind the Screen: Exploring Online Discrimination”: In this performance, students will explore racism, sexism, homophobia, and Islamophobia on the Internet. Instead of reinforcing online discrimination, we are subverting common stereotypes through facts, statistics, critical memes, humor, and irony. Audience members will be able to interact with live computers or the faces “behind the screen.”
12:30-2:20 p.m. “Open Rights Mic: Let Go, Let Flow” **See flyer below: In this performance, students will be holding an open mic featuring live music, poetry, storytelling, and artwork exploring race, gender, ability, sexuality, as well as post-election feelings. Audience members are welcome to participate in interactive art and join us onstage.
