In the spirit of creating intentional space for our community to continue to try to process, heal, and do essential solidarity work surrounding the results of the 2016 U.S. Election, please join Shoreline’s Black Student Union this Wed., Nov. 16 for another community conversation to debrief the election results. This event is open to all students, staff, faculty, and administrators and will be held in the PUB Quiet Dining Room (9208) from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

In September 2014, Metro transit reduced evening and night service on Route 331, which connects Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, Shoreline, and the Shoreline Community College campus. Now the Metro Alternative Services Demonstration Program is working with the communities of Lake Forest Park and Shoreline and with Shoreline Community College to identify transit gaps that might have been created by this reduction.
Do you live, work, or go to school in Shoreline or Lake Forest Park? Tell Metro about how you use or would like to use public transportation to get around.

The Toys for Tots Northwest Toy Run is coming to the Seattle area, and Shoreline Community College’s automotive department is accepting donations for the 3rd consecutive year. Toys for Tots helps distribute toys as gifts during the holiday season to Northwest kids in need. We will have two boxes located on campus for donations. Please help contribute and show the Shoreline Community College spirit of giving!
Boxes are located in the PUB next to the espresso stand and in the 5000 (FOSS) Building. The last day to donate will be Thurs., Dec. 1, at which time donations will be gathered for delivery to the Northwest Toy Run at Pacific Raceways in Kent on December 4. Please feel free to come join Shoreline’s automotive program at the event.

Dear Students,
The recent U.S. presidential election process has been highly contentious and has evoked many strong emotions from people of all beliefs. Like the rest of the country, Shoreline students and employees are experiencing a range of feelings about the results of the election.
Just as this nation must continue to embrace its commitment to its democratic ideals of liberty, equality, and justice, so must all of us at Shoreline Community College uphold our commitment to being an inclusive campus community.
This is an opportunity to live up to our Community Standard:

The historic vote that took place on June 23 in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to leave the European Union (“Brexit”) has generated uncertainty about Great Britain’s future, that of Europe, and about the post-1945 global order. Does this historic referendum signal that Britain has chosen to retreat into a “Little England” status, or does it signal a desire to redefine its role on the world stage? Join us for a lively discussion of developments in Great Britain, and their implications for European unity and the “special relationship” between Great Britain and the U.S.
