We currently have two positions open:
ASG Technological Affairs Officer: Member of the Associated Student Government that maintains the Student Leadership website and chairs the Technology Review Committee. Up to 17 hours per week.
Student Representatives (Hiring 2): serve as an extension of the Associated Student Government and primarily serve on campus committees and support ASG members with campus projects. Up to 7 hours per week.

Soft skills is a term often associated with a person’s “EQ” (Emotional Intelligence Quotient), the cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, interpersonal skills, managing people, leadership, etc. that characterize relationships with other people.
Other examples of soft skills: Communicating well verbally, as well as non-verbally. Making good decisions. Adaptability. Problem solving. Commitment, Flexibility, Time Management. There are even more, and we’ll touch on a few this Friday, with Shoreline Senior Center volunteer and longtime Roundtable contributor, Ed Cruver. Do you react when criticized, or calmly consider the criticism? How well do you handle pressure? Do you see things from other’s perspectives? Ed will cover this and more, and of course we’d love to hear your own examples of soft skills and how best to put them to work. This post previously stated that Shoreline Community College is a shuttle stop location for the UW – WSU Football “Apple Cup” game parking on Friday afternoon. The correct information is that Shoreline is a shuttle stop location for the UW –Stanford football game parking on Friday afternoon. The Apple Cup is in November. We apologize for the confusion.
Shuttles run from 4-10 p.m. and pick up an drop off by the #2000 upper parking lot. Signage will direct drivers to the lower gravel lot, starting at 3.
There is a $5 charge on site and $4 charge in advance to ride the shuttle. Go towww.UWshuttle2016.comto pay in advance.

A documentary film that focuses on the challenges and dangers that Foreign Service Officers face, as well as on less visible consular and commercial duties they perform, followed by a discussion about the past, present, and future role of embassies in making foreign policy and advancing national interests.

Voter Registration in the PUB 11:00 am to 1:00 pm September 29, 2016.
October 10, 2016 is the registration deadline for Washington State citizens to vote in the November 8 general election. Two representatives from the American Association of University Women will register voters in the lobby of the PUB from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 29.
Tutoring Services is delighted to be back home in the Library and to open the doors of 4228 (by the Library study rooms) to the campus community!
The main Tutoring Services office in 4228 is open Mondays – Thursdays from 9am-6pm and Fridays from 9am-4:30pm.
Below, please find the hours and locations for the drop-in Learning Centers (LCs) hosted by Tutoring Services (please note that some of these hours/schedules are still being finalized and are subject to change in the future):
-The BCLC (Bio/Chem), now in the Library 4201 space, is open Mondays – Thursdays 9am-5pm and Fridays 9am-1pm.
-The Physics LC in 2923 is open Tuesdays-Thursdays 12:30-3:30pm and Fridays 9:30-10:30am.
-The AELC (Acct/Econ), now in 4229, is open Monday 12:30-2:30 and Tuesday – Wednesday 12:30-3:30.
-The BUSTC LC is currently open Monday – Thursday 11:30am-1:30pm, but watch for extended hours in collaboration with eLearning coming soon!
-The schedule for Conversation Groups, mostly in 4229 and starting October 3, is still in progress, but you can find the Chinese Group in 1802 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:50-3:50pm.

Audition Dates: Auditions will be held on September 26, 27, & 28 between 12:30-3 p.m. with callbacks being held Wed., Sept. 28 from 1-3 p.m. Come prepared to perform a short 1 to 3-minute monologue. Please, audition not to exceed 3 minutes.
