Dear Campus Community,

With all campus parking enforcement resuming Monday, January 9th, 2023, we wanted to send out one last reminder to everyone.

General:

  • All posted parking rules and regulations will be enforced (Staff Lots, Visitor Lot, ADA, etc.)
  • Vehicles parked on campus between 6:00am – 4:00pm and 10:00pm – 6:00am must have a valid pass properly displayed.
    • Permits are not required between 4:00pm – 10:00pm daily, or anytime on holidays and weekends.
  • Instructions on how to properly display your permit can be located on each permit.
  • To appeal a citation, you must go online to the Safety & Security website or come to the Safety & Security Office located on the 1st floor of Bldg. 5000 (Foss).
  • Illegal and hazardous parking is always enforced (fire lane violations, parking in roadways, ADA parking violations, etc.)

Students: Students can purchase their quarterly parking permit from Cashiering, located on the middle floor of Building 5000 (Foss). Daily/hourly permits can be purchased at the pay stations on campus. For more information, please go here: Parking & Permits | Shoreline Community College

 

Residents: Residents can purchase their quarterly housing parking permit from Cashiering, located on the middle floor of Building 5000 (Foss).

 

Classified Staff, Faculty, Administrative/Exempt: Please pick up your parking permit at Safety & Security (5102) if you haven’t already done so. Photo ID is required. Supervisor verification/approval is required for all annual/plastic parking permit requests (FT employee, admin/exempt working 50%-100%, PT employee that has worked 2 years or more consistently). Please remember to turn in parking payroll deduction form, if you are an admin/exempt employee working 50%-100%.

Please note, if you already have an annual/plastic parking permit, it is still valid.

 

Employee Carpool: Minimum of 2 carpool riders, commutes to Shoreline a minimum of 2 days a week (Monday-Friday). Must have signed employee carpool contract and returned annual/quarterly parking permit in order to receive an employee carpool permit. Visitors: May purchase a pass through our pay stations on campus or have the department request a visitor permit for them through this link: Shoreline Parking Permit – Formstack

Welcome to Winter Quarter at Shoreline Community College! Please review the important information below to help you get started and be successful this quarter.
Winter Quarter Tuition Deadline is January 6 

Please pay your Winter Quarter balance by January 6, 11:59PM PST to prevent being dropped from your classes. You can pay tuition online or set up a payment plan through ctcLink, or in person at the Cashier’s Office (FOSS/5000 building).

If you are unable to see your tuition balance in ctcLink, please follow the steps in this article or join our Zoom support room, which is open M-F 9-1 and 2-4:30.

Students who register for classes after January 6 will be required to pay within 24 hours after registration and no later than by January 16, 11:59PM PST.
Drop for Non-payment

A drop for non-payment will take place on Monday, January 9, for students who owe more than $100, have not made any payments or payment arrangements and do not have a hold to prevent their classes from being dropped.
Financial Aid Disbursement 

If you are expecting financial aid, scholarships, workforce funding, Veteran Benefits, or any other sources to pay for your tuition and/or fees, please contact the department to make sure your funding is ready to go for Winter Quarter. For financial aid, if you have already received your award notification, disbursement for financial aid will start on January 6. You do not need to contact them if you have already been awarded.

Dear Campus Community,

Our annual campus fire alarm and suppression system testing began this morning, January 3rd and will be running through January 6th, with one final day of testing on January 13th. During these times, you may see employees from Convergint and Columbia Fire around campus and may observe the momentary activation of strobe and horns during testing. I apologize for the late notice of the testing, the dates were finalized right before closure. Campus Security will do our best to notify everyone in each building before the horns & strobes are tested. If you have any questions, feel free to email Safety & Security at safetyandsecurity@shoreline.edu.
