The College is aware that some students are having issues with making tuition payments, so we have delayed the drop for non-payment process until later in the spring quarter – this will most likely occur in early May 2022.
If you have not yet paid your tuition, please review the following information for next steps. · We strongly encourage you to pay online with ctcLink. You can also register for a payment plan with Nelnet through April 26.
· If the online system does not work, please reach out to us for assistance. The student financials office is open Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 4:30pm PDT in FOSS 5000. You can also contact them at 206-546-7850 or get support online.
Additionally, the College will continue to offer federal COVID-19 funds and other emergency aid funds to students who are experiencing emergencies or need assistance to pay tuition and fees. Please contact Shoreline Financial Aid at 206-705-8722 or emergencyaid@shoreline.edu to learn more about these opportunities.
We are here to support you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Phillip J. King, Ed.D.

Dear student,
As the weather warms up and we usher in a new quarter, I wanted to take a few minutes to share some exciting news about this year’s Shoreline Commencement ceremony.
I have approved the Shoreline Commencement committee’s recommendation to hold two in-person, indoor ceremonies on campus in our gym. These events will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2022, with the first ceremony beginning at 10am and the second beginning at 2pm.
The dual ceremonies will allow for lower occupancy in the gym and spaced seating to increase attendees’ comfort. Masks will be optional for those in attendance. The ceremony will also be live streamed for those who are unable to attend.
We invite you to nominate a student for the Shoreline Student Service Award, or a student or faculty member to serve as The Shoreline Commencement speaker. Nominations may be submitted using this form and should be received by May 6, 2022.
More information will be sent out over the coming weeks, and will be updated on the Shoreline Commencement website. Any questions about the event can be directed to the Shoreline Commencement committee at commencement@shoreline.edu.
I hope you have a wonderful spring quarter and I look forward to celebrating this milestone with you at this year’s in-person Commencement events on June 18th.
Sincerely,
Steve Hanson
Interim President
Office of the President

Hi Students,
Welcome to Spring Quarter! Here are some important reminders about masks, vaccine attestation, operating hours, and parking.
MASKS
Masks are voluntary for spring quarter, but there may be some occasions where masks are still required:
- Masks are required in clinical and other health-care settings (including the Counseling Center) and on College shuttles and vans.
- Masks may be temporarily required or recommended during a COVID-19 outbreak, when community levels are high, or for those who test positive and are returning to campus after isolation at home.
Please note:
- Any student has the option to wear a mask for any reason, at any point.
- Individual instructors or staff members cannot require others to mask in their classrooms, offices, or departments.
- COVID-19 vaccination verification or eligible exemption will continue to be required for all employees and on-campus students. Please attest to your vaccination status by April 17th.
- Stay home if you are sick, and report symptoms or COVID-19 exposures via this form for direction on health and safety steps needed.
- The College will monitor the level of COVID-19 in our community and if conditions change, updated guidance will be communicated to students and staff.
VACCINE ATTESTATION
Students new to taking classes on campus or those with prior holds on their accounts need to attest to their vaccination status or an eligible exemption by April 17, 2022. Holds will be put onto accounts of students who have not done so. Students taking classes entirely online are not required to attest to their vaccination status.
CAMPUS OPERATING HOURS
- Monday-Thursdays 8 am-5 pm: all services will be available in person, as well as online.
- Fridays 8am – 4:30 pm: all services will be available online.
- For a list of exceptions, please check the Campus Operating Hours page.
- The PUB (9000 building) will be open for you to access Avanti Market, package lockers, and study spaces.
PARKING
Parking on campus remains free for spring quarter; no permits will be required but hazardous/illegal parking will accrue fines.
QUESTIONS?
We hope you have a successful start to your Spring Quarter!

Dear Students,
This is a reminder that spring quarter starts on Monday, April 4th. Have you applied for financial aid yet? If you haven’t, there is still time, but you must act now.
Please fill out the 2021-2022 FAFSA today. It’s a free application that could give you access to Federal and State aid. For Washington State residents who cannot file the FAFSA due to various reasons including immigration status (undocumented students, DACA status expired or not), please check out the WASFA website to see if you qualify for State grant and work-study funding.
COVID-19 Pandemic Assistance Fund: If you’re facing financial hardship during the pandemic, you may also apply for federal pandemic assistance funds. You may request up to a maximum of $2165 per quarter to help pay for tuition, technology, textbooks, rent, food, childcare, or healthcare expenses. Learn more.
Questions? Contact us by email at financialaid@shoreline.edu, call us at 206-546-4762, or visit our website. You can also check your financial aid status online.
We are here to help you!
