Join Shoreline Community College for Seattle’s PRIDE Parade this Sun., Jun 25. This year the College will have a float in the parade and all students, faculty, staff, and friends are welcome to join in and march alongside the College float.

Participants who wish to walk with Shoreline are asked to arrive at 12:45 p.m.at the Republic parking lot on 6th and James. Although the parade begins at 11 a.m. the organizers suggest this gathering time for our group as we’re towards the back of the very long parade.

The parade runs along 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle, beginning at Union Street and running north to Denny Way. View the parade route

Shoreline’s Project Pride Club is sponsoring the College entry in the Pride Parade, which is an annual event attended by thousands of spectators. This will be a fun event with great exposure for the College. Participants will be handing out Shoreline Community College beads to the crowds.

If you’d like to attend, please fill out the online sign-up form. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Stapleton at astaplet@shoreline.edu.

ASHRAE chapter meeting – open to all interested students
Thurs., June 1 at 7 p.m. in PUB 9202

The American Society for Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has a chapter on the Shoreline campus that aims to connect students with HVAC professionals. The chapter is linked to the Clean Energy Technology (CET) department, which teaches several courses on how to make buildings more energy efficient. We will hear from professional engineers about how they are making a difference. We will also discuss plans for the club for next year and what offerings are available in the CET department.
