The Associated Student Government is partnering with Student Life and the Benefits Hub to offer a variety of events for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week taking place from November 15th-19th. These events aim to raise awareness and educate students, faculty, and staff about how we can better support those experiencing housing insecurity and poverty in our local community. Walk a Mile in My Shoes – Thurs. 11/18 5 pm https://bit.ly/HHsimulation Students will get a glimpse into the life of those experiencing poverty by participating in these interactive activities
Housing Resource Workshop – Fri. 11/19 1 pm https://bit.ly/ResourceWkshp The Benefits Hub and Neighborhood House will be hosting a workshop with information and resources to help individuals dealing with housing instability or needing rental assistance.
Veterans Day Celebration in the VRC! Please join us on Wednesday, November 10, to celebrate Veterans Day and the re-opening of the Veterans Resource Center. On this day, we honor all current and former members of the U.S. Armed Services. Our country’s greatness is built on the foundation of your courage and sacrifice. We thank you for your service and hope you’ll join us as we acknowledge and celebrate your contributions. Coffee and light snacks will be provided.
Study Abroad is making a return! As countries open again for international travel, study abroad programs are being refreshed (with eye on COVID safety) and re-opened. The International Education Office at Shoreline Community College supports students who are interested in study abroad. Choose from amongst many options, broaden your views and learn something new!
Spring 2022 – Travel and study with other Washington CC students to Japan OR to Lyon, France, and earn 15 Humanities credits towards your degree!
Summer 2022 – The French Embassy just announced several 2-week travel study courses just for US community college students. The French government is subsidizing the costs, making it affordable! 4 different programs in 4 different locations throughout France, offered in June & July 2022.

Flu Vaccine Pop-Up Clinic, Thursday, November 4th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm in the PUB (9000 Building), Room 9208 (Quiet Dining Room). Sign up in advance online. Students, family and staff are welcome to attend. Flu shots are free for those with approved insurance, including Apple Health. Masks are required indoors.
COVID-19 vaccination booster shots are available at our on-campus clinic for those who are eligible. The clinic’s scheduled vaccine appointments could become fully booked very soon with kids ages 5-11, so book your appointment soon.
The vaccination pop-up clinics will operate five days a week (Monday to Friday), from 9am to 5pm through December 17. The clinics will be closed on November 11th, 25th, and 26th.
Join us on Saturday, November 13th, to celebrate Green Shoreline Day, our biggest tree planting celebration of the year! We will be planting the future forest of four of Shoreline’s Parks: North City Park, Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, South Twin Ponds, and Paramount Open Space.
Coming out to plant with us is one of the best ways to give back to your local forest and your neighbors. Help us to build healthy habitat and build a healthy community by taking part in Green Shoreline Day.
