Happy Fall Quarter!
Here is a list of the various Learning Centers around campus where students can go for extra support. The Learning Centers are free to students to use and are staffed with tutors ready and waiting to help, so please make sure to use them! Additionally, we’re doing some conversation groups again this quarter as we did in Spring. Anyone can go to these groups to practice French, English, or Japanese. Spanish will hopefully be added soon. Here is more information about conversation groups.
In addition, Tutoring Services is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Fridays in Room 4203. Tutoring can happen anytime campus is open, though if it’s a hardship to come to our office during those hours, students have the option to complete an application online.

What better way to celebrate the first day of Fall quarter classes than to head to the gym from 7-9 p.m. and support the Women’s volleyball team as they take on Everett? The women’s team has been on fire lately, and are heading into Wednesday’s game with a record of 12-4. Come on out to the game and cheer them on to another win!
Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams are also playing the first day of classes, with both teams traveling up to Everett for away games. If you happen to be up north, swing by, check them out and cheer them on. Men (who are currently #4 in the North Region) play from 2-4 p.m. and women (#3 in the North Region) take the field from 4:15-6:15 p.m. #GoPhins!
Want more info about our awesome teams? Check out the latest surf report here.

Shoreline Community College started coming to life in 1963 when 806 student applications were accepted. In January of 1964, classes began, held in the evenings at Shoreline High School, now Shoreline Center. But it wasn’t until 1965 that Shoreline had its own campus. 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Shoreline Community College campus and the beginning of instruction in college facilities. So what does that mean? Par-tay!
Join us Fri., Sept. 25 to party like it’s 1965. The festivities will kick off in the PUB Main Dining room at 6 p.m. with a series of speakers. Live music will begin at 7 and go until 10. Come enjoy fun, food and popular 60s fads on this evening of celebrating our campus and its thriving community on its 50 birthday. Free and open to the public.
