In support of Mental Health Awareness month, Shoreline’s Veteran & Military Student Services (VMSS), Vet Corps, & Help Heal Veterans teamed up to provide Therapeutic Craft Kits to Shoreline veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), & depression. Kits are available to Shoreline veterans in the Veterans Resource Center (VRC), FOSS 5226. The VRC is open M,T,W  9:00 – 4:00. Please come by, say hello, grab a craft kit (limited supply) and a snack. As always, we’ve GOT YOUR 6!

2022 AFA Exhibition! Opening Reception: Monday, June 6, 4:30-5:30

All current SCC students are invited to participate in the college’s first catalytic converter engraving event. With catalytic converter thefts on the rise, do your part by getting yours engraved for FREE! The event will take place on Tuesday, June 7 from 9am-2pm in the lower event parking lot (south of the 2000 building /VCT/Art building.).

Space is limited and cars will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is sponsored by Shoreline Community College’s Automotive Program, the Safety & Security Department, and the Associated Student Government’s (ASG’s) Sustainability & Commuter Options Fee (SCOF) Committee.

worker retraining event info2/22/22 1:00 – 2:30 pm You may be able to receive 100% of tuition and fees, if you:
  • Are currently receiving – or are eligible to receive – unemployment benefits
  • Received a layoff notice
  • Have exhausted unemployment benefits within the past four years
  • Are formerly self-employed and closed your business due to economic conditions
  • Are a veteran discharged within the past four years
  • Stop gap employment – lost your job and taken a temporary job
  • Displaced homemaker – lost income because of a divorce/separation
  • Vulnerable worker – currently working and need to upgrade skills to remain employed
This session will include:
  • A general overview of worker retraining
  • The ability to connect with colleges
  • The chance to talk with our community resource navigators
