The Public Speaking Leadership Club is putting out an open call for talented student voices to showcase in our last event of the year: *Audience of One* – Mentor Appreciation event: June 6 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
This event will feature “mentor appreciation” presentations … a chance for students to write and present a “letter” (or art piece or poetry or anything you can think of) that honors someone at Shoreline who positively affected their academic career – this could be an instructor, administrator, tutor, employee, another student, etc. Each presenter will have about 5 minutes (if you might need more, let us know and we’ll try to work it out).
We are looking for:
• Public speaking presentations
• Reading poetry
• Original writing
• Q&A sessions
• Panel presentations
• Art/photography presentations
• Anything else you can think of?
If you would like to know more about presenting, we will have a table in the PUB near the information desk Thur., Jun 1 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. each day.
Or contact us anytime through our facebook page http://facebook.com/shorelineccpslc

ASHRAE chapter meeting – open to all interested students
Thurs., June 1 at 7 p.m. in PUB 9202
The American Society for Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has a chapter on the Shoreline campus that aims to connect students with HVAC professionals. The chapter is linked to the Clean Energy Technology (CET) department, which teaches several courses on how to make buildings more energy efficient. We will hear from professional engineers about how they are making a difference. We will also discuss plans for the club for next year and what offerings are available in the CET department.
