Registration for winter quarter classes for current students begins the week of November 13-17. Advisors will be “out and about” in the Library from 10am-1pm on Tues., Nov. 7 to talk with students about finding their specific registration date, majors, degree plans, degree audits, and course selection.

The Parent Child Center at Shoreline Community College offers child care and early learning services to student parents. The PCC serves children 6 weeks of age to kindergarten. Child care subsidies are accepted and student discounts are offered on tuition.

Habits for Academic Success Workshop: PUB (9000 bldg) 9201
Wed., Oct. 4: 5-6 pm
Come to this interactive workshop with Success Coach Carrie Bayless. Together you will use a quarterly calendar and your class syllabi to plan for a great quarter and establish good academic habits. You’ll leave with a plan for each week of fall quarter.

Shoreline academic advisors will be out and about on the main floor of the Library (4000 bldg), this Wed., Oct. 4 from 10am-1pm. Applications for graduation are due on Oct. 13, so this would be a great time to get answers to any questions you may have about the process. They’ll also be available to answer any questions you have about the College, transferring, or degree planning.

Dear Students,
This morning we woke to a tragic event that took place last evening in Las Vegas. Our hearts go out to the those who were victims, as well as their families and friends. The tremendous loss of life and wounding of so many reminds us of our resolve to resist hateful and violent actions of intolerance wherever we experience it.
This senseless tragedy will affect each of us differently so I wanted you to know there are services available to assist students who may need support. The Counseling Center is located in the FOSS Building in Room 5245. During regular hours, contact 206-546-4594. After hours, a 24-hour Crisis Line is available to students at 866-427-4747.
During this time of grief, we are reminded of the power of community and the outpouring of support to help one another. I am grateful that we are a college who knows what we stand for and what we are building together.
