You may have read a Seattle Times article about a Shoreline student who was injured by a flash-bang device at the recent protests on Capitol Hill. We wanted to let you know the College is aware of the incident and the Care Team has reached out to provide support, resources, counseling, and options for the student to complete their studies.
During this time of great disruption to students and their studies, if you are experiencing distress and are in need of emotional or mental support, please know you can access free telehealth appointments with the Counseling Center (206-546-4594).

I want to warmly welcome you to spring quarter classes! While I know attending classes may look and feel very different for you right now, know that you are making big strides in your educational journey and we at Shoreline are here with you each step of the way to ensure you have a healthy quarter.
While we have never gone through something like this before, and things are changing quickly, one thing that will not change is our dedication to educating and serving you—our students. Here are a few important tips and reminders for you as you begin your classes online:
Find Support
- Connect with your instructors often via email or Canvas – they are ready to help you and they understand you may have different needs this quarter.
- Use the spring resources page on the website to stay up–to–date and locate support services you would normally find on campus.
Find Learning Tools
Find Funding
- We have a COVID-19 emergency relief fund if you’re having trouble paying for tuition, fees, course materials, food, housing, technology, health care, childcare, or emergency expenses.
- Contact Financial Aid office (finaid@shoreline.edu, 206-546-4762) to learn about the full range of funding opportunities.

7000 Campus Living has a Reflection Room, which is a space intended for quiet contemplation, prayer, or meditation. The space is open to the entire campus community M-F from 9am-4pm and features a foot-washing station, cozy seating, and comfort supplies such as yoga mats and cushions.
The Reflection Room is an inclusive space on campus, and we welcome suggestions on how to best equip it for a wide variety of users. We want to make sure the space is used thoughtfully, so we ask that users check-in at the Campus Living 7000 office to gain access. We also ask users to limit time spent in the space to 30 minutes or less to ensure everyone who needs access has the opportunity.
