In addition to drop-in learning centers for biology and chemistry, BUSTC and eLearning, accounting and economics, physics, and conversation groups, Tutoring Services offers one-on-one tutoring for students who need regular, weekly help in any of their Shoreline Community College courses. There can be a wait for help in courses in which we do not have available tutors, but we strive to hire additional tutors as soon as we’re able. You can visit us online here.
The deadline to apply for a one-on-one tutor for Winter 2017 classes is Sunday, March 12, 2017.
We are also now accepting applications for one-on-one tutoring assistance for Spring 2017 once you have successfully enrolled for your spring courses.
You can fill out the application to receive tutoring help in person in 4228, or you can complete our online application.
Please feel free to contact us at pttutors@shoreline.edu or 206-546-4776 if you have questions.

Did you know there’s a student advocate on campus? The student advocate is a student representative with the additional duty of supporting all students with their grievances by making sure they have a voice by speaking out for them and directing them to helpful campus resources. She/he assists the ASG Social Justice officer and strictly adheres to FERPA and Title IX regulations.
If you have questions or want to request a meeting with the Student Advocate, please contact Winston Lee at StudentPresident@shoreline.edu or Student Advocate Khalee Kiazolu at StudentRep2@shoreline.edu.
Thank you for your time!
Winston Lee, Associated Student Government President

Free service for students! Have a speech or presentation coming up in a class? The Public Speaking Center can help!
The Shoreline Community College Public Speaking Center offers peer-to-peer coaching for a variety of oral communication situations from practicing conversational English to prepping for class presentations. It is a space to refine presentation skills, ask questions, and practice speaking in front of a live audience. The PSC is staffed by student volunteer coaches so appointments are required. During winter quarter 2017, 20-minute coaching appointments are available Monday-Friday from 8:30-11:20 a.m. in room 2515 and 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. in room 5302. To schedule an appointment online, find us on the Shoreline Learning Support Centers website or email psc@shoreline.edu for more information.
