If you don’t have a Shoreline ID card yet, mark your calendars – our summer quarter ID card event is coming up soon!
Current students can get ID cards made July 15 – 17. Stop by the FOSS Welcome Desk (Building 5000) between 8:30am – 4:30pm to pick up a number and get in line to take your photo! In addition to the daytime hours, we’ll also be available July 15 from 5pm – 7pm.
Please come prepared with your ctcLink number and a Photo ID (such as a drivers license or passport).
As we work our way through the first week of the quarter, we wanted to provide you with some tips from the Department of Safety & Security.
Parking The first 2 calendar weeks of Summer Quarter 2025 (July 1 – July 11) is the official grace period for students to purchase their quarterly permits. During this time, citations will not be issued for lack of parking permit (Visitor Lot violations, ADA violations, parking in multiple stalls, parking in assigned spots/lots, and other illegal and hazardous violations will still be cited). You may still find warnings on your vehicle instructing you to purchase a permit, but you will not be cited for lack of a permit during this period.
Beginning Monday, July 14, 2025, permits are required to park on campus weekdays during the quarter, Monday-Thursday from 6:00am-4:00pm, excluding holidays (with the college closed for business on Fridays during Summer Quarter 2025, permits will not be required to park on campus) . Citations with fines are issued for ADA violations, PCC parking violations, Visitor Lot violations, hazardous driving violations, lack of parking permit, and other illegal/hazardous (fire lane, blocking roadway, not parked in a parking stall, etc.).
Students can purchase parking permits in Student Finance (aka Cashiers), located on the second Floor of Bldg. 5000 (FOSS). When purchasing your permit, you will need to provide your vehicle make, model, and license plate number. Daily permits are also available for purchase at our campus pay station located on the Main Walkway in-between Bldg. 1000 and Bldg. 7000. Students can also visit the Safety & Security website to learn about the no-cost Student Carpool Parking Permits.
Campus Security We have a uniformed Campus Security Officer on campus and on-duty 24/7/365. Our personnel are trained and equipped to respond to a vast variety of calls that include, but are not limited to, basic first aid, medical emergencies, security emergencies, and calls for assistance.
If you require medical assistance, DO NOT GO TO THE NURSING BUILDING. You can come to the Safety & Security Office in Room 5102 (first floor of FOSS) or call campus security and an officer will come to you.
To reach our team during business hours, call 206-546-4633, or visit the Safety & Security Office in the Foss Building, Room 5102.
After hours or if the office does not answer, the on-duty Campus Security Officer can be reached at 206-235-5860
