Dear Students,

Attention graduating Spring and Summer students: the deadline to submit your Application to Graduate has been EXTENDED to Monday, May 16th. On this page, you will find information for students applying for transfer degrees and professional/technical degrees or certificates as well as a link to apply.

Applications for Summer quarter graduating students NOT participating in the June 18th Commencement ceremonies should be submitted by Wednesday, July 13th.

The Advising Center offers appointments via phone, Zoom, or in-person to assess students’ eligibility to graduate. To make an appointment, call (206) 546-4559, e-mail advising@shoreline.edu or stop by FOSS 5229.

If you have any questions about graduation or completing your degree, please send an e-mail to sccgrad@shoreline.edu.

Once you have submitted your graduation application, don’t forget to sign up to participate in Shoreline Commencement, which will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2022. There will be two ceremonies, one at 10 am and another at 2pm. Students will be assigned to the morning or afternoon ceremonies based on their degree/program. For more information about the ceremonies and to sign up to participate, go to the Commencement website. The deadline to sign up to participate in Commencement is Monday, May 16th.

Dear Students,

We are excited that you chose to take courses at Shoreline Community College. I want to take a moment to personally encourage you on your journey. The fact that you chose to come to Shoreline, on top of balancing the other priorities in your life, says a lot about you. It says that you have a vision for your future, and you see Shoreline as the place to realize it.

No matter what challenges you may be facing right now, we want to make sure you are supported to succeed. Please explore the resource links in this email. We know the earlier that students utilize these support services, the more likely they are to gain the benefits and reach their goals. Students who engage will achieve.

All of us at Shoreline – from professors, to advisors, support staff, administrators, and me – are here to support you on that journey. You don’t have to do it alone and we are here to help you finish what you started.

Dear Students,

 

All students are invited to participate in this year’s ASG Presidential elections. Help choose the student who will represent you and lead your student government in the upcoming year! Voting will run from Tuesday, May 3rd through Friday, May 13th!

Student Life will be hosting an Open Forum on Tuesday, May 3rd at 2pm to give all student an opportunity to meet the candidates and hear about their vision for Shoreline next year. To attend the Open Forum, go to https://bit.ly/ASGPresOpenForum22.

The ASG President provides overall direction and leadership for student government which consists of 9 officers and 4 representatives, including:

  • Serving as chair for ASG Board Meetings
  • Serving as a liaison and representative voice for all Shoreline students to college faculty, staff, and administration
  • Attending campus events and Board of Trustee meetings as a representative of ASG
  • Working with the Vice President and Director of Student Life to allocate additional committee responsibilities and projects to ASG members
  • Working with the Vice President and Director of Student Life to organize hiring and training for all ASG positions
