Important Updates for Winter Quarter

Happy New Year, Dolphins!

We are still experiencing technical difficulties related to a Microsoft outage and want to share a few important updates as we prepare for Winter Quarter, which begins this Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.

The College is open and we are happy to meet with you in person or via Zoom (see information below) but are unable to receive phone calls or emails.

Please review the information below carefully.

Dolphin Day Update

The Winter 2026 in-person Dolphin Day scheduled for Friday, January 2, 2026 has been cancelled so our staff can focus on providing direct one-on-one support to students during this time.

  • You are welcome to attend the Spring 2026 Dolphin Day to learn more about campus services. The date will be posted on our website soon.
  • The Virtual Dolphin Day has been rescheduled to Monday, January 5, 2026 from 6:30–8:30 p.m.
  • This session is designed for online students, but all students are welcome.
  • If you were planning to attend the in-person event, we’d love to have you join us virtually.
  • RSVP and details are available here: https://www.shoreline.edu/advising/dolphin-day.aspx

Financial Aid Update

Due to the ongoing Microsoft outage, financial aid disbursements anticipated to begin on Friday, January 2, 2026 may be delayed. Processing of recent loan requests and responses to email may also take longer than usual.

Live Zoom Support

To better support students during this time and as Winter Quarter begins, we will be offering additional live Zoom support for questions.

We are monitoring updates from Microsoft and will share more information as services are restored.

Winter quarter classes start this Monday, Jan. 5. We look forward to seeing you on campus next week and appreciate your understanding.

Warm regards,
