Student Email Migration & MFA Update

As you know, the college is entering the final days before the cutover from Google to Microsoft.

Previously, we communicated that multifactor authentication (MFA) would not be required until January 5. To minimize potential issues on the first day of the quarter, MFA will now be implemented on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

If you have already completed the authentication process using the Microsoft Authenticator app, you’re all set, no further action is required. If you chose security questions or SMS, you will be prompted to complete the MFA process when signing in to access campus resources such as Outlook or OneDrive.

Quick Reminders: 

• By Monday, January 5th, 2026, all student accounts will transition from firstname.lastname@go.shoreline.edu to firstname.lastname@shoreline.edu 
• Students will now access their emails using Microsoft Outlook (outlook.office.com) 
• Beginning on Wednesday, December 31st, Multifactor Authentication (MFA) will be enabled and required for all accounts.
