If you live in the Shoreline area, please be aware that your route to and from campus may be affected by the closing of the 10th Avenue NW Bridge (just east of NW Innis Arden Way), which is scheduled to close for repairs between May 2 and mid-August. You may need to lead yourself extra time for your commute.

High winds on Tuesday morning, Nov. 17, 2015 toppled a tree that hit a Metro bus on Innis Arden Way NE, just east of the main entrance to Shoreline Community College.
The driver of the bus was taken to a local hospital by Shoreline Fire District personnel. Other public safety officials at the scene said the driver’s injuries did not appear to be serious and that there were no passengers on the bus at the time of impact.
Removal of the tree and the damaged bus snarled traffic headed east on Innis Arden Way. While traffic was moving through the scene, drivers from campus were advised to use exit roads other than eastbound Innis Arden Way.

President Obama will be arriving in Seattle at Boeing Field shortly before 4 p.m. on Fri., Oct. 9. Though this will most likely not affect the commute to campus Friday morning, anyone traveling to campus mid to late afternoon may want to leave extra travel time. The evening commute home will likely be affected, as intermittent closures of freeways, arterials and downtown streets are expected. More information can be found here.
