Dear Student,
In the words of Arthur Ashe, “True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.”
On Memorial Day, we commemorate those who gave their lives in service to our country. As we prepare to enjoy a relaxing holiday weekend with family and friends, may we also take a moment to offer our gratitude to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice during military service. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.
Please join me on Tuesday, May 29 for our Memorial Day Flag-Raising Ceremony at the flagpole in front of Building 1000 at 12:30 p.m. to pay tribute to all those who have died in service to our country.
Gratefully,
Cheryl Roberts, Ed.D.
President
