Please join us Shoreline Community College’s Veterans Programs as we honor and remember those who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. We will have a flag raising ceremony followed by a reception with members of the American Legion Post 227.

Shoreline Dental Hygiene faculty and students began a tradition in 2011 of providing practical work support at the first and only dental hygiene school in Cochabamba, Bolivia. They learned many things, including how simple healthcare practices can make a difference in impoverished communities. 2018 will be the fourth year of offering this service-learning opportunity to Shoreline students and other students in other colleges.

Volunteer drop-in at campus garden: Deep Roots Garden, near the 2400 building
Wed., May 30: 1-2pm
Drop in and help out at the Deep Roots Community Garden located next to the 2400 building. Come for the whole hour or only 15 minutes. It will feel good to do some tending, weeding, planting, and growing. Volunteers check in at the Greenhouse. Gloves and tools provided.

Free one-hr workshop on the basics of how to make compost! Topics include different methodologies for making compost and different ways to make a compost bin in your home or apartment.
A service learning or volunteer opportunity to make compost for the community garden in compost tumblers is available.
