SIFF presents “Therapy for a Vampire,” Main Campus Theater

One night Sigmund Freud discovers a new patient on his couch, a mysterious count who has entered therapy because he can no longer bear his “eternally long” relationship with his wife, in this humorous mashup.

SIFF presents “Battledream Chronicle,” Main Campus Theater

In a futuristic world where humans have been reduced to virtual-reality slaves, a young woman fights for her freedom in a dazzling and inventive sci-fi adventure, the first feature-length animated film from the Caribbean island of Martinique.

SIFF presents “A New High,” Main Campus Theater

An inspiring documentary following ex-Army Ranger Mike Johnson, who enriches the lives of a group of recovering addicts at Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission by encouraging them to join him on a mission of personal discovery and redemption–climbing to the 14,400-foot summit of Mt. Rainier.

SIFF presents “Sonita,” Main Campus Theater

Winner of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, Sonita is the tale of a feisty teenage refugee and aspiring rapper from Afghanistan who, after her mother announces an arranged marriage, upends the foundations of documentary filmmaking with a bold request to her filmmaker: Will you buy me?

Diva. Enigma. Holocaust survivor. Meet 90-year-old Kansas City tailor shop owner Sonia Warshawski. She may be just shy of five feet tall, but her enormous, sparkling personality and stirring stories of survival have earned her the nickname “Big Sonia.”

A trio of directors helmed this noir about three notorious Chinese criminals who cross over into Hong Kong to make their fortune in the days leading up to the 1997 British handover of the territory. Produced by master filmmaker Johnnie To (Drug War).

Dental Hygiene Pinning, Main Campus Theater
Sun., June 5: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Dental hygiene students graduating from the program this quarter will participate in a pinning ceremony to honor and acknowledge their achievement.
Commencement 2016, Main Gym
Sun., June 5: 2 p.m.
Shoreline’s Annual Commencement Ceremony will start at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2016 in the College gymnasium (Building 3000). On the day of the event, graduates should arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. and check in at the lower level of the 3000 (Gym) building.
Following the ceremony, there will be a reception in the main dining hall of the Pagoda Union Building (9000) with light refreshments. A setting for photographs will be provided. There will also be opportunities to talk with the commencement speakers, meet college faculty, and enjoy the company of other students.
