Hello Campus Community,

The contractor for the 9000 Gender Neutral Bathroom project will be shutting down all water to the 9000 building on Friday, 8/17, from 8am – 5pm.  Currently the building is closed on Fridays during the summer.  If you are onsite this Friday and reside in the 9000 building, please use the restrooms in the 1000 or 5000 building.  My apologies for this inconvenience.  Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Hello Campus Community,

We are well underway in remodeling the 2nd floor restrooms in the 9000 building.  The contractor will need to shut down the water to the 3rd floor restrooms this Friday, 8/4, from 8am to 4pm.  The only restrooms available in the 9000 building will be on the 1st floor.  Please let Kim Clark know if you have any questions.

Dear Campus Community,

Our vendor had to reschedule their work to tomorrow. So, tomorrow, Friday 5/26, the Bldg. 2900 Parking Lot will need to be closed tomorrow for resurfacing as a part of the work being completed to improve campus accessibility. The parking lot and paved parking along the roadway will both be closed off to allow for the work and the large equipment. The college anticipates that the lot will be open by Tuesday, 5/30. We apologize for the late notice and will strive to ensure more advanced notice whenever possible.

Please contact Acting Director of Safety & Security Greg Cranson at gcranson@shoreline.edu if you have any questions.

Hello Campus Community,

We have a minor improvement project starting this week.  This is an accessibility project for the 3000 building and 2900 parking lot.  For this project, the contractor will be installing a ramp on the north side of the 3000 building to allow for accessibility access to the 1st floor of the 3000 building.  The contractor will also be adjusting the slope for 2 accessibility parking stalls on the south side of the 2900 building parking lot.  This project has been divided into two phases.  The first phase will be the ramp which will generate noise on campus while they break up concrete.  The NE stairwell for 3000 will have intermittent accessibility as they break up the concrete and replace.  There will be access on the NW side of 3000 and access to the motorcycle parking on the north side of 3000.  The second phase will include repaving the 2 accessibility stalls on south side of 2900.  The purpose is to adjust the slope of the parking stalls and to provide a correctly sloped path from the parking stalls to the new ramp.  There will be intermittent impacts to the 2900 parking lot.  More communication will be sent once I receive the schedule and impacts to the 3000 and 2900.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Kim Clark

During these times, parking lots and campus roadways will be intermittently closed during the painting and initial drying process. Taking into consideration the on-campus construction, King County Metro activity, and various campus operations, we, unfortunately, cannot give specific days/times regarding definitely which lots/roadways will be closed. Please exercise extra caution when driving on campus and thank you in advance for your patience. There will be a sewer shutdown on Dec. 22 – 23, 2021.

Time Frame:

Wednesday 12-22-21 7:00 AM to Thursday 12-23-21 3:00 PM, 2 Days

Toilets, urinals, and sink drains in buildings #2300, #2200, and #1900

Description:

We will be tying the new sewer main to the existing system within our site fence line, adjacent to building #2300. This work will be outside of the buildings. We need to cut the sewer line that leaves #2300 and tie in the new line. We will also be installing a new structure that will intercept the sewer line that serves #2200 and #1900. We are requesting that the college does not use toilets, urinals or sinks in these buildings during the shutdown duration. No support will be needed from the college for this work. FORMA can provide and set up “Bathroom Closed” signage if needed. This work also includes the scope in RFI #048.
