Dear Students, Welcome to Shoreline Community College. We are so excited that you chose to join us. I want to take a moment to personally encourage you on your journey. Whether you are taking classes for transfer, to prepare for an occupation, and/or to engage in educational opportunities to develop your curiosity and knowledge, you are in the right placeThe fact that you chose to come to Shoreline, on top of balancing the other priorities in your life, says a lot about you. It says that you have a vision for your future, and you see Shoreline as the place to realize it. No matter what challenges you may be facing right now, we want to make sure you are supported to succeed. I want to emphasize that this is your college, and that you belong here. Last night (9/19/22) an attempted car prowl was made to an occupied vehicle in the parking lot near Building 3000 (the Gym). While Shoreline PD continues to investigate, please note that there is no anticipated ongoing threat to campus at this time.
As we prepare to begin the new academic year, please see the following safety guidelines:
Park in well-lit, high-traffic areas.
If you parked further out during the day, consider moving your vehicle closer when working during the evening.
If you feel the need, call the on-duty Campus Security Officer for a security escort to your vehicle after hours.
This is a friendly reminder that tuition for Fall Quarter 2022 is due by Tuesday, September 27.
If tuition is not paid by the deadline, you may be dropped from your registered courses. Please plan accordingly. More information about payment options, important deadlines, and financial resources can be found on the college website.
If you have applied for Fall federal/state financial aid or COVID-19 Emergency Grant funding, your classes will notbe dropped for non-payment while the Financial Aid Office is determining your financial aid eligibility.
The College will continue to offer federal COVID-19 funds and other emergency aid funds to students who are experiencing emergencies or need assistance to pay tuition and fees. All Shoreline students are invited to participate in Fall 2022 New Student Orientation. This event will connect students with faculty, staff, and campus resources that will help them to make the most out of their time on campus. Sessions cover topics including advising, learning resources, scholarships and financial aid, and involvement opportunities. Orientation is FREE to attend and all are welcome, but RSVP is required.
In-person NSO will be held on campus on Wednesday, Sept. 21 and Monday, Sept. 26 from 10 am-3pm. For students who are unable to attend the in-person sessions, an online NSO is available via Canvas.
