The U.S. Department of Education recently announced a delay in providing 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) data to colleges.
This postponement is to prioritize students and ensure they receive the full aid they are entitled to.
Shoreline Community College is committed to keeping you updated on these changes and will make every effort to minimize the impact this has on you.
We encourage you to apply for financial aid as soon as possible to avoid any further delays in processing their file.
Need assistance paying for college?
The Financial Aid Office strongly encourages students to apply for financial aid for the 2024-2025 school year as soon as possible. The 2024-2025 aid year covers Summer quarter 2024 through Spring quarter 2025.
You can apply for financial aid using either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA).
Don’t wait to apply!
The U.S. Department of Education has announced a delay in the college receiving 2024-2025 FAFSA data until mid-March. This means the processing timeline for the college will be delayed. We anticipate beginning to review files in early May. Once your application data is received, you may be asked to provide additional information to the Financial Aid Office to determine your eligibility.
Avoid further delays by applying now!
