As Commencement approaches, we want to provide you with some additional information/reminders to help you and your guests prepare for this important day.
- Tickets – All guests are required to have a ticket to enter, including children over 5 years of age. Lost tickets will not be replaced. Non-ticket holders are welcome to view the ceremony from either the small gym (3000 building) or the PUB main dining room (9000 building).
- If you indicated that you would like tickets for guests when you signed up for Commencement, they will be sent out via mail/available for pickup on-campus beginning in early June.
- If you indicated that you would like to pick up tickets on the day of the ceremony, more information will be sent out with more details closer to the ceremony date.
- Seating – Doors open one hour prior to the beginning of each ceremony and close promptly once the ceremony begins. Ticket holders arriving prior to the start of the ceremony will be directed to the bleachers. Late arrivals, even those with tickets, will be directed to the overflow areas, as space allows.
- Parking – Campus parking on Saturday, June 18th is free for graduates and Commencement guests. Please allow additional time to locate a parking spot and walk to the Gymnasium. A campus shuttle will also be available to pick up guests at the visitor lot (near the front of campus), and outside the 1400 building, theater, and 2900 building, where riders will be dropped off. The shuttle will operate 90 minutes before each ceremony. We encourage graduates and guests to carpool or use public transit. View maps, directions, and bus routes.
