You Are Invited to A Celebration of Creativity! Join us for an afternoon of wonderful music, art, and thought-provoking moving images at the Spindrift Art & Literary Journal 2018 Release Celebration.
During the event, you can:
— listen to original, live music
— hear literary work read by authors
— screen the moving image piece
— talk to the artists about their creations
Journals will be available for sale – $15 each. They are great gifts for friends, family, and anyone who loves art and literature.
Information About Sprindrift Art & Literary Journal 2018
– Our second year of all-digital art submissions saw submissions grow to over 400! (We nearly ran out of wall space to display them in the SCC Visual Arts Center.)
– Literary submitters are mostly first-time contributors.
– We had a record-breaking number of voters vote in the 2018 Jury Show, surpassing all predictions.
– Art trend: Lots of images of dogs and cats. Just goes to show people really love their pets and want to show them off.
– On target for meeting the Community College Humanities Association award deadline!
– Literary trend: More poetry, less in the way of short stories.
– Literary subject matter more introspective.
