Dear Student,
I would like to extend my best wishes for a safe and happy 4th of July, as our nation celebrates Independence Day on Thursday. As you enjoy the festivities, I hope you’ll also take a moment to reflect on the purpose of this day: to honor the vision of freedom and equality expressed in the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Today and every day, we reaffirm that we are all created equal and are endowed with certain unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
