Dear Student,
The College has been informed that an employee who was regularly working on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Those who came into close contact with the employee has been notified. There is a low level of risk to others since this employee had been observing appropriate physical distancing and mask wearing protocols on campus. The individual is currently under medical care/self-quarantining at home.
The College continues to monitor the situation closely and is actively following the latest and best public health guidance.
What We’ve Done:
· Contact tracing has been completed
· Communication to impacted employees and students has been completed
· The employee has been asked to quarantine per CDC guidance
· The impacted campus facilities are in the process of being cleaned and disinfected to ensure the building is safe and ready for others to return to work in that location
How You Can Help:
As a reminder, the following steps will help reduce risks to our faculty, staff, and students:
· Stay home if you show any signs of illness, or have a family member displaying COVID-like symptoms
· Regularly wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds
· Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces
· Maintain a physical distancing of six feet or more from others
· Cover your nose and mouth with a facemask or covering while in public
