Dear Student,
This is a follow-up to an earlier post, informing you that beginning Tuesday, May 29, the roadway that runs along the back side of the PUB (Building 9000) would be closed. This closure is necessary so that contractors can dig a trench to accommodate the wastewater line for our new student residence hall.
At the time of the original post, the closure was expected to last until Fri., June 8. Due to some unforeseen and complicated utility crossings (buried electrical and water lines), our contractors need additional time to get the wastewater line installed. As of today, we anticipate the work to take approximately two more weeks, with the roadway reopening Monday, June 25. A photograph of the work being performed is below.
As with the previous post, a map showing the campus roadways is also below, with the location of the closure indicated with a blue rectangle. In order to reach parking lots that would ordinarily be accessed by means of this road, it will be necessary to drive around on the main campus roadway. It may be easiest to use the West Gate to access the main roadway.
We appreciate your continued patience. As before, if you have any questions about this closure, please contact Edwin Lucero in Safety & Security (elucero@shoreline.edu) or Stuart Trippel (strippel@shoreline.edu).
Thank you!
