Dear Student,
I want to warmly welcome you to spring quarter classes! While I know attending classes may look and feel very different for you right now, know that you are making big strides in your educational journey and we at Shoreline are here with you each step of the way to ensure you have a healthy quarter.
While we have never gone through something like this before, and things are changing quickly, one thing that will not change is our dedication to educating and serving you—our students. Here are a few important tips and reminders for you as you begin your classes online:
Find Support
- Connect with your instructors often via email or Canvas – they are ready to help you and they understand you may have different needs this quarter.
- Use the spring resources page on the website to stay up–to–date and locate support services you would normally find on campus.
Find Learning Tools
Find Funding
- We have a COVID-19 emergency relief fund if you’re having trouble paying for tuition, fees, course materials, food, housing, technology, health care, childcare, or emergency expenses.
- Contact Financial Aid office (finaid@shoreline.edu, 206-546-4762) to learn about the full range of funding opportunities.
- Apply for emergency grants and spring quarter scholarships now through the Shoreline Community College Foundation (scholarships@shoreline.edu, 206-533-6783).
- The deadline to apply for annual scholarships (for next academic year 2020-21) has been extended to April 23.
Working and learning remotely are new and different for all of us, and we remain fully committed to you. We are all in this together.
With care and appreciation,
Cheryl Roberts, Ed.D.
President
