Please join us to celebrate, honor, and commemorate the genius of Toni Morrison (1931-2019), famed American novelist and Nobel laureate.
The goal of this event is for you to learn about Toni Morrison’s wisdom and her craft. No need to have read her work; this is intended to be an introduction.
A group of Shoreline faculty has organized a series of reflective events taking place on Tues., Nov. 12, including:
• A gallery of some of Morrison’s most powerful and moving quotes, for perusal at your own time and pace in the PUB shared common area. These will be displayed all day.
• Three faculty-led reflective sessions discussing themes emerging from Morrison’s works. These are 40-minute concurrent sessions that will occur in the PUB in rooms 9201, 9202, and 9208 from 12:30-2pm.
• Faculty-led final session and debrief in PUB 9208 from 2-2:50 pm.
