University of Washington grad (1966), Stephen Murphy traveled east to Harvard Business School, where he faced his first turning point. Next, he struggled through Vietnam and Pacific typhoons, eventually finding his way to Columbia Business School and onward to Brazil. Later, he lands positions in both Bush administrations. In between, and since, he has had a successful career as an advisor to businesses on both sides of the U.S./Latin American border(s).
