College representatives will be on Shoreline’s campus to meet with interested students. Reps will discuss topics such as academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures for their college. They can answer other questions students may have too!

Come to this workshop to understand the purpose of the college admission essay, to begin writing one paragraph, and learn from sample essays.

Nicholas Sironka, a former Fulbright scholar, was born in Narok, in the Rift Valley province of Kenya. Sironka teaches the techniques and history of Batik art, along with an understanding of traditional Maasai culture.
Students will learn the technique of Batik and engage in creating a large Batik painting. Light refreshments will be provided.

Nicholas Sironka, a former Fulbright scholar, was born in Narok, in the Rift Valley province of Kenya.Through his artwork, Sironka is preserving the wisdom and the knowledge of Maasai traditions. Sironka is determined to portray his people’s culture truthfully, with dignity and beauty.
